The biggest rap feud of 2024 was between Grammy Award winners Kendrick Lamar and Drake. And although the two spent the entire summer throwing fiery jabs at each other, several people caught strays in the process. One of those people was West Coast rap star Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg Admits Kendrick Put Him ‘In His Place’

One one of the songs off of Kendrick’s latest album, GNX, which dropped in November 2024, he takes aim at Snoop on a track titled, Wacced Out Murals.

“Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles / I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go,” he raps on the song.

Many people feared that Kendrick name dropping Snoop would lead to lyrical violence between the two Compton artists. But during a recent appearance on Power 105.1’s, The Breakfast Club, Snoop said that he took it all in stride.

“A big dawg can get checked if it’s by the right person,” Snoop said. “There’s nothing wrong with properly being put in place, if you’re outta place… Sometimes the younger generation can teach the old dog a new trick.”

The Death Row Records owner also added: “As an older guy, sometimes we don’t have radar on what we’re doing.”

Rap Star Praises Kendrick Lamar

Snoop previously said during a 2024 interview with Bootleg Kev that he felt Kendrick did what he was supposed to in his rebuttal.

“That’s my nephew, man. He’s a rapper, he’s supposed to speak his mind and tell his truth. That’s the way he felt, and he has the right to say that,” he said.

“I’m his big homeboy, so I have to take what’s given to me from his perspective because he’s speaking truth. And the truth shouldn’t hurt you, it should make you better. I’m one to accept truth when it’s brought to me directly.

Kendrick’s rebuttal was in response to one of Drake’s diss tracks that he aimed at him, titled, Taylor Made. On the song, Drake uses an A.I.-generated version of Snoop’s voice to talk to Kendrick Lamar. Following the release of the song, Snoop shared the song on his Instagram story.
