Drake and Playboi Carti appeared to have linked up in the studio. Per Billboard, Playboi Carti’s DJ, Swamp Izzo, previewed the song during an After Hours Til Dawn Tour afterparty at Zouk nightclub in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 25.

The new track samples Luther Vandross’s House is Not a Home, which ironically was sampled on Slow Jamz by Ye (Kanye West). Carti and Drizzy have both had their issues with Kanye in the past.
Even more ironic, Drake’s nemesis, Kendrick Lamar, also sampled Luther Vandross. The late R&B star’s 1982 hit If This World Were Mine, is sampled on Kendrick and SZA’s Luther, which has spent most of the year on the Billboard Hot 100.

Playboi Carti dropped his highly-anticipated Music album earlier this year. However, he does not appear to be letting up any time soon. According to DJ Swamp Izzo, Carti’s next album, Baby Boi is already finished.
“[It’s] new music. He got over 50, 60 songs done. Completed to his liking? I couldn’t say. But they’re done. If I was still in that mixtape era, we’d have BABY BOI one through nine. Fifteen years ago, we were so heartfelt on them exclusives. We couldn’t even sleep until we put it out before everybody,” he said.
However, although Carti has finished recording the project, that doesn’t necessarily mean that fans should expect him to drop it any time soon. DJ Swamp Izzo says that he and Carti were working on the Music album until the day it was released. That would also explain the release dates continuing to be pushed back before Carti eventually dropped the project in March.
“I knew it was going to change the world. But you got to think, we are still in there fighting over a hundred songs trying to get it down to 24, 25. Still couldn’t do it. It was already 24, 25 at midnight. It was locked,” Swamp Izzo added.
