Rap artist Remy Ma found herself back at the center of drama on Monday, June 4. The “All The Way Up” artist was detained at a New York City courthouse.
Remy Ma Detained Outside NYC Courthouse
To bring things up to speed, the artist, born Reminisce Smith, was visiting a New York City courthouse last month. Because of her son’s case. The 23-year-old named Jayson “Jace” Scott is facing murder charges in connection with a 2021 shooting.
The rap star was escorted from the courthouse steps in handcuffs. After getting into an explosive altercation with the daughter of the man whom her son is accused of killing.
In a video that is circulating on social media, a woman named Jazmin Dior can be heard shouting at Remy Ma. She accused the rap star of “trying to act like [she is] tough,” before inviting her to “go around the corner,” presumably for a fight.

Remy did not waver as she welcomed the thought of a fight. “Come on, beat me up,” she responded.
While it remains unclear if the two ever got into a physical altercation, Dior later posted a video of Remy Ma on those same courthouse steps in handcuffs.

Although it appears that Dior is the antagonist in the video, she says that is not the case.
In a statement via AllHipHop, the victim’s daughter also accused Remy Ma of staring at her during the case “with a whole attitude… as if her son was the victim.”
She also questioned Remy Ma over her lack of remorse.
And also noted that she has never been the aggressor toward Remy Ma.
“You would have thought I did something to you,” she said. “Realistically, I can never speak to my father again. You can see your son.”
Remy’s son is accused of executing a murder-for-hire in the killing of 47-year-old Darius Guillebeaux in June 2021. If convicted he faces life in prison.
