Jim Jones is ready for lyrical warfare again. And his target of interest is rap star Pusha T. On Sunday, July 13, the famed Diplomats member reignited his feud with the “Daytona” creator with an unheard freestyle.
Jim Jones Responds to Pusha T
In the unreleased verse on his “On The Block” freestyle, Jim appears to address Pusha T and claims that Malice is a drug addict. To add insult to injury, he freestyles on Clipse’s Chains & Whips beat
“Talking about your brother what happened to that boy? Look like they’ve been selling crack to that boy,” he raps in the freestyle.
He also doubles down on his criticism in the accompanying social media caption.
“I thought we addressed this already. He gonna need a bigger desk because that one was too tiny. This is surgical I’m not a storyteller. I’m a life liver and your brother is still a fiend to me,” he wrote on Instagram.
The new freestyle from Jim appeared to be in response to the release of Clipse’s new album, Let God Sort Em Out, which was released on July 11.
As part of the promo run, Pusha T and Malice made an appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk. During their appearance, they performed one of the songs from the new project titled Whips & Chains, which features Kendrick Lamar.
In the song, Pusha T appears to take aim at Jim Jones, and during their appearance on Tiny Desk, Push looks right into the camera while he is performing his verse as if he is talking directly to him.
“You run from the spirit of repossession. Too much enamel covers your necklaces I buy b****es, you buy ’em sections. You buy watches, I buy collections. Misery’s fuelin’ your regression. Jealousy’s turned into obsession,” Pusha raps in the song.
Clipse’s new album has already produced a lot of controversy for King Push as he has already caught bars from both Travis Scott and Jones. It will be interesting to see if he cooks up a response.
