Diddy scored major acquittals earlier this month after he was found not guilty of racketeering and trafficking charges. However, he is still awaiting sentencing. For the prostitution charges related to Cassie and Jane Doe (believed to be his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy).
Diddy Enters Therapy & Drug Rehab Program
Diddy is doing whatever he can to pass the time as he awaits his sentencing. According to a new report from TMZ, the music mogul has entered therapy. As well as a drug rehab program as his sentencing date moves closer.
“Sources close to the situation [say that] Diddy is in the STOP Program, a course the feds offer inmates focused on preventing sexual assault, domestic and dating violence,” the outlet writes. “We’re also told he is undergoing therapy and is in the Dr. Harry K. Wexler drug abuse program.”
The outlet also adds that the music mogul is using the programs “to work hard on bettering himself” as part of his “path toward redemption.”
The Bad Boy Records founder was facing life in prison. After being charged with a RICO. In connection to his involvement with a sex trafficking ring that spanned for more than two decades. Diddy was able to evade the most serious charges of racketeering and trafficking. This means that even though he was found guilty on the charges of prostitution he won’t be facing a life sentence.
After being ordered back to prison until his October 3 sentencing, Diddy has done everything in his power to hurry up the legal process. According to a recent social media post from Nancy Dillon of Rolling Stone, Combs’ lawyers even recently requested for his sentencing date to be moved up to September 22. However, the judge has yet to rule on that request.
Now Diddy looks to October 3, the sentencing date, which will ultimately determine his future. He faces up to 10 years in prison for the prostitution charges.
