Despite being embattled with several of the top tastemakers in the music industry, Drake has continued to show his critics that his influence is still undeniable. If he secures another number-one hit, he would achieve musical immortality. The reason being that he would surpass music icon Michael Jackson for the most number ones ever. He has come close on several occasions in the last few months, but still no cigar.

Drake & Central Cee’s ‘Which One’ Underwhelms on Billboard

Last month, Drake dropped a second single off his upcoming Iceman album. In the latest single, he tapped UK artist Central Cee for a song titled Which One. Many thought that this would be the song that finally gave Drizzy the edge over the King of Pop for the most number ones. But unfortunately, he didn’t get it. And to be blunt about it, he didn’t even come close. The latest single didn’t even crack the Top 20. It came in at an underwhelming 23rd on the charts.

Of course, fans on social media went haywire with the reactions once the rankings were announced.

“Central Cee stimulus wasn’t enough to get Drake top 10,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Damn, we’ll never be able to just enjoy a song from either Kendrick or Drake without sparking some bs ever again,” another user added.

“Imagine what these 3 records would have done if Drake wasn’t getting snubbed over 35% of radio plays by his own Label,” another user said.

Despite a disappointing debut, the record was still a career milestone for Central Cee. According to Hip Hop All Day, this marks the seventh entry in the Billboard Hot 100 for Central Cee. Which is the most in history for any UK rapper.

As for Drake, he is still trying to get that elusive number one record that would put him over Michael Jackson. With an album on the way, he could still achieve the feat before the end of 2025.
