Young Thug is not about to let people play with his name. On Wednesday (August 27), an audio clip leaked of an interrogation session with the police. During that interrogation, he appeared to cooperate against YSL affiliate PeeWee Roscoe
Young Thug Hits Back at “Rat” Allegations in Social Media Post
After the interrogation audio leaked, Young Thug became the subject of heavy backlash. Especially because he has had a lot to say about people who cooperate since his 2024 release. And it didn’t take long for him to explain.
Thug took to social media to question why the interrogation video wasn’t used at his trial, and if there was any validity to it. He also seems to insinuate that the video wasn’t used during the high-profile YSL RICO trial because he “helped” PeeWee Roscoe.
“They didn’t play my interrogation video in court cause I helped my brada #Ratwhere?” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on August 27.

However, fans on social media were underwhelmed by his explanation.
“U a rat, gunna rat, we don’t care, just drop the album and collab with Gunna,” one fan wrote on X.
“Not mad at the video, Mad at the fact you disowned your brother Gunna over doing what he had to do. System used him the same way they used you,” another person said.
“Womp womp womp n***a we don’t wanna hear that bulls**t,” a third user said.
In the audio of the interrogation, the YSL head honcho appears to imply that PeeWee Roscoe was the person behind Lil Wayne’s tour bus shooting that occurred in Atlanta in 2015.
“This m**********r Wayne from New Orleans and I’m from Atlanta. This n***a was in Atlanta while I’m in New Orleans. I said What the f**k? That was so weird. Ya’ll done shot at this n***a tour bus,” he says in the audio clip via Kurrco on X.
“I honestly don’t know who did it. They said Roscoe did it. But I don’t want to block out ya’ll case by saying Rosoe ain’t the one that did it. But I don’t know because every day he broke the f*****k law. I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.”

Thug has hinted on several occasions that he will drop his first album since his prison release, titled Uy Scuti, later this year. It will be interesting to see if this is one of the things he addresses on the upcoming project.
