Rap star G Herbo has never been known to mince his words. And during a recent run-in with TMZ, he had a message for United States President Donald Trump.
G Herbo Speaks Out on Trump’s Comments About Chicago
Trump has deployed the National Guard to Washington, D.C., amid safety concerns. And he has since threatened to deploy the National Guard to Chicago, recently referring to the city as a “hellhole.” However, the rap star is not concerned about President Trump potentially sending enforcement to his hometown.
When speaking with the outlet, G Herbo said that he is on board with the idea of the National Guard being in Chicago. Noting that he wants him to do whatever has to be done to “keep the women and kids safe,” he also added, “whatever is going to keep us safe and clean the streets, I’m all for it.”
The rap star also reaffirmed his position as a “tax-paying citizen,” so safety is his number one priority.
However, despite his alleged plan of deploying the National Guard to Chicago, President Trump recently backtracked, noting that they would be going to a “certain state that would love for [them] to be there.
“We’re going to be announcing another city that we’re going to very shortly, working it out with the governor of a certain state who would love us to be there, and the mayor of a certain city in the same state that would love us to be there,” Trump said, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Despite G Herbo’s being on board with Trump deploying the guard to Chicago, don’t confuse him with being a supporter. During Trump’s first presidency, he referred to him as “ignorant” and said he wasn’t “fit” to be the President.
“It’s Trump, man. He’s negative. I hate the n***a, honestly. He’s a businessman, I don’t know how the f**k he’s president. He’s not fit to be – he’s f****ng Donald Trump,” he said in a 2017 interview with Revolt.
