Damon Dash has been appointed Chairman of REVOLT TV for a one-month term, effective immediately. The 54-year-old entrepreneur will bring content from his AmericaNu Network to the platform, including 25 episodes of his Bosses Take Losses podcast. REVOLT will also stream a large portion of Dash’s catalogue, highlighted by his upcoming docuseries My Paid in Full.
The project, told from Dash’s perspective of Harlem’s “Paid in Full” era, will introduce key figures from that time and later expand into a scripted series written by Harlem native Michelle Valentine.
Alongside the announcement, Dash released the trailer for My Paid in Full, explaining his vision to showcase multiple Harlem stories beyond the one depicted in the 2002 film he produced. REVOLT CEO Detavio Samuels praised the partnership, calling Dash “a driving force in hip hop and pop culture” for over three decades.
