Dave Blunts has remained a hot topic this year. From working with Kanye West to his beef with 50 Cent, his name has remained in the headlines. But, with all that he has endured in 2025, the rapper was transparent about his mental state on a recent stream with viral YouTuber Sneako.
Dave Blunts Opens Up About His Mental Issues
During the stream, he opened up to Sneako and noted that he feels like he is going through a “mental breakdown.”
“I’m not really doing too good right now, bro,” he said during the stream via Sneako Updates on X. “I’ve just been really stressed and depressed and feel like I’m going through like a f*cking mental breakdown right now.”
It is no secret that Dave Blunts is a drug user. The song that catapulted him to fame, “Can’t Put Down The Cup,” talks about his addiction to lean, a drink composed of prescription cough syrup and soda. Sneako asked the rap artist if his stress and depression could be related to drug use. However, Blunts said he doesn’t believe that his mental issues are drug-related, noting that he has stopped using mushrooms completely.
“I stopped the shrooms a while ago. I haven’t done those since July. I’m off that sh*t,” he added. “Just a lot of people in my life have been betraying me. Not one person in particular, like I wish I could point it to one person. It’s just a lot of people betraying me and switching up.”

Blunts has always been transparent about his health journey. In 2024, he was hospitalized after allegedly contracting the flu at a fan meet and greet. Following his hospitalization, Blunts vowed that he was turning over a new leaf. And promised to get his health on track in 2025.
“I promise I am 100 percent focused on bettering my health in 2025. And this setback is making me feel like I can’t do it because every time I try something, like this happens,” he wrote. “I’m not giving up as long as you guys don’t give up on me, but this s*** is hard.”
