Gunna just made it official — he and Offset got a collab album on the way.
The confirmation came Monday night (Sep. 22) when Wunna pulled up as the special guest for Apple Music’s One Night Only in L.A. Sitting down with Ebro Darden, the Atlanta rapper couldn’t help but gush about his brotherly bond with the Migos alum — a connection that’s deeper than just hopping on each other’s songs.
“Shout out Offset, ’cause he’s from the town, he’s from Atlanta,” Gunna said during the fan Q&A. “When we work, it’s organic, it’s not forced. He come with the beats, I might come with some, Turbo slide in, and we just collaborate as always. We push each other — that’s why the music sound how it sound.”
When Ebro straight up asked if a joint project was coming? Gunna didn’t stutter:
“Definitely. Definitely. Yes. It’s in the works. We spacing it out. He dropped, I dropped, we both hopped on each other’s albums. That was just sprinkles and breadcrumbs for the meal we about to serve.”
This collab has been cooking for a minute. Offset teased unreleased records with Gunna on IG Live last fall, doubled down on X in February, and the two lit up Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash this summer with a chemistry that seemed primed for a joint studio session.
Offset has also been one of the few Atlanta rappers holding Gunna down since his 2022 release, and the two already have a strong catalog together: Offset’s “Different Species” feat. Gunna, Gunna’s “at my purest” feat. Offset, plus 2024’s “prada dem” and “Style Rare.”
Looks like all those “breadcrumbs” are about to turn into a full-course meal.
