In May, Bad Boy Records founder Sean “Diddy” Combs was found guilty in his high-profile assault trial. And on October 3, he found out how much time he will be behind bars.
Just before 5:00 pm on the East Coast, trial judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Combs to four years in prison.
50 Cent Reacts to Diddy Verdict
There were mixed reactions to the verdict in Diddy’s trial. Some were upset to see him get prison time. But there were others who rejoiced about his downfall. One of those people was ex-rap superstar 50 Cent. He expressed his elation on social media.
“Hey, to whoever was booking Diddy for a speaking engagement, I heard he won’t be able to make it. I’m available [smiling emoji],” he wrote on social media on October 3.

50’s comments are in reference to the prosecution’s claims that the Bad Boy Records founder had booked a speaking engagement in Miami next week.
Combs may not be happy about the outcome of his sentencing. But it is a slap on the wrist compared to what he was facing initially. The trafficking and RICO charges could have landed him in prison for life.
50’s Issues With Combs Explained
During the investigation, prosecutors alleged that Diddy was running a trafficking ring at his now-infamous house parties. Also known as freak-offs. It is one of the reasons that 50 Cent says he stayed away from Diddy’s parties.
“I’ve been very vocal about not going to Puffy parties and doing s— like that,” 50 Cent said in a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve been staying out of that s— for years.”
50 Cent has had an issue with Diddy for years. And for a while, it remained unclear as to why. But the mogul told the outlet that his problems with Diddy stem from a time when the super producer offered to take him shopping.
“He asked to take me shopping. I thought that was the weirdest s— in the world because that might be something that a man says to a woman,”50 added. “And I’m just like, ‘Naw, I’m not f—ing with this weird energy or weird s—,’ coming off the way he was just moving. From that, I wasn’t comfortable around him.”
