Kandi Burruss is calling Soulja Boy’s bluff.
The Xscape singer and Real Housewives of Atlanta star publicly invited the rapper to join her Speak On It podcast after he lashed out over a story shared in a recent episode.
During the sit-down, Burruss interviewed Charlie Rocket — a former videographer who claimed he briefly worked with Soulja Boy in 2007. Rocket recalled the early YouTube-era days when viral content was everything, describing a strange moment that’s stuck with him ever since.
At the time, he said he hadn’t eaten in three days while staying at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas for work. “Soulja Boy called me to his room. We’re staying at the Bellagio and he wanted to make a really viral video. He said, ‘Come to my room. I’m about to order some room service,’ and he ordered $1,000 worth of room service. When he was done, there was so much food left over. I was excited. I saw some chicken fingers and I was like, ‘Can I can I get those? Cuz I’m hungry, I’m really really hungry.’”
Rocket then claimed that Soulja Boy told him he could have whatever he wanted and then proceeded to spit on the food.
Rocket said he didn’t know how to react, but added that Soulja was still a teenager at the time, only 17 or 18. “He was just a kid,” he said. After the episode circulated online, Soulja Boy fired back in a profanity-laced livestream on Monday (Oct. 20), denying Rocket’s story and unloading on Burruss.
“B—h why you got this fat-a** n—a on your platform talking?” he said in the clip. “I’m finna sue the f—k out you and this White boy. Kandi, f—k you too… I’m in Atlanta right now. Send me the address and let me pull up and tell my side of the story.”
Rather than ignore it, Burruss provided an open invitation for the rapper to speak his peace in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“I heard @souljaboy was cussing me out on his live & said he wanted to pull up,” she wrote. “Well I would love for you to pull up. Let’s speak on it.”
