Jamal Rashid, better known as superstar producer Mally Mall, has landed himself in hot water once again.

Mally Mall Jailed Over 2021 Prostitution Case

Mally Mall was on supervised release after pleading guilty to running a Las Vegas prostitution ring in 2021. But he violated one of the terms of that release. And as a result, he found himself in federal custody on Tuesday (October 28).

According to the report, Mally Mall recorded phone calls between him and the alleged victim. And during the phone call, he requested that she drop a lawsuit that she had previously filed against him.

Other violations included:

“Testing positive for drugs and failing to submit to drug testing, lying to his probation officer regarding an alleged ‘sex room’ in his home, and interacting with a convicted felon,” according to the outlet

He will now be placed on house arrest per KLAS-TV.

In 2021, the star producer pleaded guilty to running a Las Vegas-based prostitution ring. He was sentenced to 33 months in prison and three years of supervised release.

In a release from the Department of Justice, they stated that Mally Mall:

“Operated a high-end prostitution business that transported victims across the United States, using various paid websites — such as Backpage and Eros — to advertise the victims for prostitution purposes.”

Prosecutors also said that the producer would often use manipulation tactics to control his victims.

Including his encouraging them “To get tattoos of him to demonstrate their loyalty, and led many of them to believe he would advance their careers in show business.”

Mally Mall has previously tried to receive an early termination on his supervised release. Citing that one of the terms, a travel ban, has prevented him from performing the duties of his music career.

However, U.S. District Court Judge Gloria Navarro cited that as an “Insufficient reason to terminate his supervision.”
