The paternity question surrounding Stefon Diggs has finally been settled. The New England Patriots wide receiver—who’s currently expecting his first child with rapper Cardi B—has been confirmed as the father of Instagram model Aileen Lopera’s baby, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera.
“The paternity has been confirmed. Mr. Diggs is the father of the child,” Lopera’s attorney Tamar Arminak told Page Six Wednesday. “Now that the child’s paternity has been established and Mr. Diggs has acknowledged his daughter, my client hopes they can work toward being great parents to their child.”
While paternity is no longer in question, Lopera’s attorney clarified that the case “will move forward if the parties are not able to resolve [their issue] themselves.”
Lopera, a Fashion Nova ambassador, first filed a paternity suit against Diggs in December 2024, seeking legal and physical custody of her daughter, along with financial support for her pregnancy, birth, and attorney fees. Diggs responded in July, requesting a genetic test to confirm his fatherhood and outlining his interest in joint custody and shared financial responsibility if confirmed.
Now, with results confirming parentage, the focus shifts to co-parenting arrangements—while Diggs continues building his life with Cardi B. The “I Like It” rapper revealed in September during a CBS Mornings interview that she’s expecting her fourth child with Diggs.
“I’m excited. I’m happy, I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” Cardi said, opening up about balancing career and motherhood.
Cardi shares three kids—Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 1—with her estranged husband Offset, while Diggs is also dad to 9-year-old Nova, whom he welcomed with ex Tyler-Marie in 2016.
With a new baby on the way for Cardi and confirmed fatherhood with Lopera, Diggs’ family tree is growing fast. How he and Cardi will navigate co-parenting alongside his daughter Charliee is the next chapter fans are watching closely.
