It seems like ages ago that Kendrick Lamar fired the first shot at Drake on Future’s “Like That.” But it still remains a prominent discussion in hip hop today. And during a recent appearance on Carmelo Anthony’s 7 pm in Brooklyn podcast, Ja Rule was asked to weigh in.
Ja Rule Has Interesting Perspective on Drake, Kendrick Beef
During his appearance on the podcast, Ja Rule was asked what advice he would give to Drake amid the fallout of the beef. However, the Queens native questioned why Drake would need any counsel from him.
“Why do I gotta advise Drake?” he asked. “Why can’t I advise Kendrick?”
Ja went on to say that even though the general consensus among hip-hop fans is that Kendrick took the W, Drake is still enjoying a lavish lifestyle.
“Drake doesn’t need any advice,” he stated. “Drake is rich, got a big a** plane. Have you seen his plane? What are we talking about, Drake for, man? That n***a chilling, man.”
You see how shea butter podcasts out here putting their cape on for Kendrick Lamar 😂

It is easy to see why Ja Rule would have this mode of thinking. Because he has a similar mindset when it comes to his own long-standing rap feud. Ja Rule has been at odds with 50 Cent for the better part of the last three decades. And even though 50 Cent has had a longer music career than Ja, which is why many perceive him as the victor in their beef, Ja still believes he is the better rapper out of the two emcees.
“You got to love both, you got to respect both, you got to appreciate both,” Ja said. “My take is unpopular. I feel like I was the better rapper. Feel like I made better records. I feel like my records aged better; that’s how I feel inside. I don’t know how everybody else feels. The reality is that it’s whatever you want it to be.”
