The long-running legal clash between Eminem and Real Housewives of Potomac stars Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon is getting increasingly tense, with new filings revealing that both sides are now accusing each other of gamesmanship and bad-faith tactics.
The dispute began in 2023, when Bryant and Dixon attempted to trademark the name of their podcast, “Reasonably Shady.” Eminem immediately opposed the filing, arguing the name was too close to his iconic “Shady” and “Slim Shady” trademarks. What followed has been a two-year back-and-forth before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
According to recently filed documents, the trademark office ordered Eminem to sit for a deposition—but Bryant and Dixon say actually getting the rapper in the chair has been nearly impossible. They claim his team has only offered a late-afternoon start time with a two-hour limit, accusing his attorney of failing to make a genuine effort to schedule the meeting.
Eminem’s camp shot back in a November response, calling the Housewives’ complaints exaggerated and unnecessary. His attorney said the rapper was willing to extend the session into the evening and argued that Bryant and Dixon’s insistence on an earlier start time was “designed to harass.” Eminem’s manager added that mornings are off-limits due to the rapper’s studio commitments.
For now, the trademark board has not issued a ruling on the deposition dispute—or the broader trademark battle itself—leaving both sides locked in a standoff with no clear resolution in sight.
