Netflix dropped off their new film, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, on Tuesday (December 2), and it is already causing a ruckus throughout the hip-hop community. But while the documentary is already proving to be the downfall for some, it is also paying dividends for others. Namely, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Misa Hylton.
Diddy Doc May Open Door For Ex- Misa Hylton to Get Own Show
Hylton shared a carousel of photos on Thursday (December 4). And included in the photos was a screenshot of a conversation with Alex Stapleton — the director of the documentary.
In the thread, Stapleton notes that she is interested in having Misa do her own show. In addition to a separate project that “leans into everything [she] contributed to hip-hop and Bad Boy.”
Fans in the comments section expressed their excitement about Hylton potentially getting an opportunity to tell her side of the story.
“Been thinking about you since watching the series. I’m sure the world will never understand the magnitude of your strength — and yet we see you, sis,” one person wrote in the comments section of the Instagram post.
“Your integrity has stood the test of time! I love you!” another user added.
“I have always loved how you handle yourself and how you move. You have never needed a soul to represent who you truly are,” a third user chimed in.
Sean Combs: The Reckoning has proven to be a box office hit. With the film being out for just two days, it has already claimed the top spot on Netflix’s most-watched list. Even beating out the highly anticipated final season of the streaming service’s original series, Stranger Things.
With a co-sign from the film’s executive producer, 50 Cent, and the numbers continuing to climb, it doesn’t look like we’ve seen the last of the saga involving the Bad Boy Records founder. Stay tuned for more updates.
