Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre have reportedly gone their separate ways.
Insiders say that the singer, actress, and creative polymath has split from the British actor after less than a year of dating, following weeks of online speculation suggesting the relationship had quietly fizzled out. While no official reason for the breakup has been confirmed, sources say both stars are choosing to focus on their individual careers as they enter major new chapters.
Taylor is currently enjoying a career high, earning a Golden Globe nod for Best Supporting Actress for her role in One Battle After Another, while also riding momentum from her latest album Escape Room, which later earned a Grammy nom. Pierre, meanwhile, is leveling up in Hollywood, with roles lined up in Star Wars: Starfighter alongside Ryan Gosling, as well as DC Studios and HBO’s upcoming series Lanterns.
Romance rumors first sparked when the two were spotted at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles in February of last year. Not long after, they made another joint appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, but fans really took notice when the two shared a steamy kiss in a trailer for Taylor’s album.
By June, the Harlem native made things IG official, posting a heartfelt birthday tribute for her beaux’s 31st, complete with photos from his celebration. The pair continued popping out together, including a joint appearance at the BET Awards, where Teyana Taylor opened up about their connection in an interview with Complex.
“He’s very gentle,” Taylor said at the time. “It allows me to feel warm and to feel safe and not be in survival mode.”
Pierre returned the love during a panel for Taylor’s album launch, praising her as “really one of one,” while the two leaned into couple energy with matching outfits during promo runs for the project.
Most recently, Pierre supported Taylor on the red carpet at the London premiere of One Battle After Another, making the reported breakup a surprise to fans who’d watched the relationship unfold publicly. Just weeks earlier, Taylor referred to Pierre as “my apple pie” in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, calling their bond a “safe space,” though she remained cautious about labeling the relationship.
Now, as Taylor gears up for a major awards season run with Golden Globe recognition and growing Oscar buzz, it appears both she and Pierre are moving forward separately — focused on their next moves rather than the spotlight on their past romance.
