Even from behind bars, music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is finding new ways to upset people. According to a recent report from TMZ, many of the staff members at Bad Boy Records, founded by the founder, are upset with him over unpaid wages.
Diddy Staff Upset Over Unpaid Wages
According to the outlet, Combs’ finances are being handled by business management firm Tri Star Sports & Entertainment while he serves out his prison sentence. And TMZ says that the management firm is keeping a “tight leash” on his finances. This has left some of the people on his payroll uncompensated.
Combs employed a “dream team” of lawyers to combat his federal case in 2025. And it was worth it. Combs was initially looking at a potential life sentence, but was ultimately sentenced to just 50 months. But the outlet says that despite a major legal victory, several of Diddy’s attorneys have gone unpaid. A bevy of his employees have also gone unpaid, and at least one of them has quit.
However, in light of these recent allegations, a representative for Combs, Juda Engelmayer, hit back. Stating that nobody on Diddy’s payroll has gone uncompensated.
“People, personnel, and attorneys are all being paid, and no one is leaving,” Englemayer said in a statement to the outlet.
When asked if the invoices were being fulfilled on time, Englemayer said, “Sean Combs controls his own finances. Everyone gets paid for their work once it’s completed and confirmed, after routine review.”
To bring things up to speed, Combs is serving a 50-month prison sentence after he was convicted of interstate prostitution charges this past May. Initially, he was accused of racketeering and trafficking as well. But luckily for Combs, he was able to evade the more serious charges, which could have earned him life in prison. Combs is set to be released in June of 2028.
