Many fans are celebrating in light of the news surrounding New Jersey Rapper, Fetty Wap. For those tardy to the party, the Remy Boyz artist was released from federal custody on Thursday (January 8). However, not everyone is happy about his release from prison.
Masika Kalysha Blasts Fetty Wap Following Prison Release
Former Love & Hip Hop star, Masika Kalysha, who is the mother of Fetty Wap’s daughter, doesn’t appear to be in a welcoming mood. The reality star unleashed a series of social media posts expressing her disappointment with the RGF Island creator.
“How do you get out and be an immediate disappointment?” she said in one post.
She also added: “1st day out and still be a b***h a** n***a. Go back [shrug emoji].”
In another post, she said: “I hate believing in a n***a that I know I shouldn’t believe in, and he proves me tf right.”

However, Fetty Wap doesn’t appear to be impacted by the negativity from Masika.
Following his release, he expressed his gratitude. He sent a heartfelt message to his fans.
“I want to thank my family, friends, and fans for the love, prayers, and continued support – it truly means everything to me. Right now, my focus is on giving back through my community initiatives and foundation, supporting at-risk young children by expanding access to education, early tech skills, and vision care for young kids and students so they can show up as their best selves,” he said in a statement shared with Rolling Stone (via Yahoo). “I’m committed to moving forward with purpose and making a meaningful impact where it matters most.”
Fetty Wap is the musical genius behind hits like Trap Queen and Come My Way. But despite Fetty’s rap career taking off like a rocket, the rap star found himself in some legal trouble. In October 2021, the New Jersey native was swept up by authorities for his participation in a drug trafficking ring. Hopefully, he can regain that momentum.
