The Houston Hottie revealed she’s been “hiding from everybody” to focus on her upcoming album, Act III, the final installment in her critically acclaimed MEGAN series. While a release date hasn’t been announced, fans can expect the project later this year.
“I’m definitely in the studio,” she said in an interview with PEOPLE. “The hotties just need to give me a little time. I’ll be in the gym and the studio — the gym and the studio.”
Her last project, the second installment of her trilogy, dropped in October 2024 debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. It became the best-selling female rap release of 2024 in the U.S., racking up over 62 million on-demand streams and marking the first top 10 album by a female rapper that year.
Earlier singles like “Hiss” dominated the charts, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 29.2 million streams and 104,000 digital sales in its opening week. Subsequentreleases, “Whatever” and “Lover Girl,” are expected to appear on Act III, with the latter marking a notable return for rap to the U.S. top 40 after a two-week absence—the first time the genre hadn’t charted there since 1990.
Beyond music, Megan Thee Stallionhas cemented herself as a leading figure in business. She became the youngest female rapper to own her masters while managing five ventures, including opening her first Popeyes franchise in Miami Beach in late 2025. She also expanded her partnership with Fanatics Sportsbook with “Thee Million Dollar FanCash Drop,” offering up to $1 million in prizes to fans, and launched a Dunkin’ campaign in early 2026 promoting her protein drink, Megan’s Mango.
Her fitness and wellness journey has been a personal focus, influencing both her career and business ventures. “When I started my health and fitness journey, I just dove in. I didn’treally know too much about the nutrition side of it,” she said. “But once I started figuring out, ‘OK girl, if you really want to see some results, you need to be eating and drinking some protein,’ everything clicked.”
Megan added that her fitness routine began as a way to release emotions and care for her mental health. “If your reason is because you’re having a bad day and you need to release that energy, that’s valid. I hope you’re doing it for you and not for anybody else to give you approval,” she explained.
While the Hotties eagerly anticipate what’s to come, With MEGAN: Act III on the horizon, Megan Thee Stallion is proving she can balance chart-topping music, entrepreneurship, and wellness. And if her first two acts are any indication, Megan promises to deliver a balancing act equally as impressive.
