New England Patriots star wide receiver Stefon Diggs is still riding high after the team’s AFC Championship win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday (January 25). However, baller-turned-rapper, Antonio Brown, didn’t hesitate to rain on his parade.

Antonio Brown Under Fire For Hurling Slur at Diggs

The Patriots are returning to the Super Bowl for the first time in the post-Tom Brady era. And New England’s social media crew made sure to capture all of the content from their big win. One photo from the Patriots’ social media account showed Diggs at his locker, head in his hands, taking the moment in. However, the photo also showed a portion of Diggs’ back tattoo.

Brown had a less-than-favorable response to the photo:

“Fa**ot of the year candidate. Leopard tramp stamp automatic qualifier,” he wrote on social media in response to the post, as heard through LiveBitez.

Fans went scorched earth on Brown for his comments. With many users accusing him of being homophobic.

“AB is a hater and got CTE. That’s a bad ass combination,” one fan wrote in the comments section of the Instagram post.

“He wishes he were going to the Super Bowl,” another user added.

“He is the one who blew through 100 million, right? I think he got other s**t he needs to be worried about,” a third user chimed in.

For Diggs, winning a Super Bowl could be the ultimate redemption story. After suffering a season-ending ACL tear in 2024, many people feared his career was finished. And just a little over a year later, he could be immortalized as a Super Bowl Champion. After the win, Diggs talked about how he is ready to seize the moment.

“I fought long and hard, man. It means the world to me. I mean, I’ve been playing this game since I was 5 years old,” he said. “Always wanted to be a champion. Always wanted to be a Super Bowl champion. And the opportunity is right there in front of us,” Diggs said.
