In December, 50 Cent, in conjunction with Netflix, produced Sean Combs: The Reckoning. A documentary that highlights the years of crimes and abusive behavior exhibited by the disgraced music mogul. The documentary appeared on Netflix’s most-watched list for several years after its release.
Former Diddy Escort Slaps Netflix, 50 Cent With Lawsuit
However, the documentary has landed them in some serious legal trouble. Former Diddy escort Clayton Howard recently brought legal action against the rap star and the streaming platform. Howard, who was among the people who were interviewed for the project, says that the statements he made during the production of the film were misrepresented. Saying that what he said during the production of the film didn’t align with how his statements were portrayed in the finished product.
In a new report from Billboard, Howard says that the statements that he initially made painted Cassie as being complicit with the Bad Boy Records founder. But his statements were “deliberately edited, distorted, and misrepresented” to make Cassie look like a victim.
“The defendants deliberately edited, distorted, and misrepresented plaintiff’s account to present Cassie Ventura as a victim while omitting critical evidence of plaintiff’s sex trafficking by Ventura. This misrepresentation has severely tarnished my reputation.”
As part of the Lawsuit, Howard is demanding that a disclaimer warning be added to the beginning of the film. Alerting viewers that the film contains edited material that doesn’t necessarily represent the subject’s release.
Back in July, Howard took legal action against both Combs and Ventura. He claimed that he contracted a sexually transmitted disease. During one of Diddy’s “freak offs.” Clayton also says that he got Cassie pregnant. During one of their sexual encounters, but upon finding out, she aborted the pregnancy without his knowledge. She also continued to be intimate with Clayton even after the abortion.
At the time of writing, neither Netflix nor 50 Cent has responded to Clayton’s lawsuit.
