The World is still buzzing about Bad Bunny stealing the show with his halftime performance at Super Bowl 60. But not everyone appears to be impressed, such as R&B singer Chris Brown.
Chris Brown Campaigns To Perform at Super Bowl
After Bad Bunny’s performance, Breezy took to social media and suggested that the NFL “needs” him to headline the halftime show at a future Super Bowl.
“I THINK IT’S SAFE TO SAY.. THEY NEED ME ! ” he wrote in a social media post on Sunday Night (February 8).
Fans on social media appeared to have mixed reactions to the R&B star’s statement.
“Super Bowl halftime isn’t about talent alone. It’s about cultural moment fit. Bad Bunny represented a shift. Language. Audience,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Breezy is way better than this guy; nobody understands what he’s saying,” another user added.
“Bad Bunny’s performance wasn’t bad. Chris Brown just wanna remain relevant,” a third user chimed in.
However, even though many fans don’t seem to agree that Brown should have headlined the show, he still has the backing of many of his fellow artists. Such as Boosie, who also wants to see him as the halftime performer.
“DO WE NEED TO CAMPAIGN FOR CHRIS BROWN TO PERFORM AT A SUPERBOWL? SO MANY YEARS I’VE SEEN SO MANY DIFFERENT ARTISTS PERFORM, NO CB? NOT COOL AT ALL, BETTER YET #DISRESPECTFUL U GREAT N OUR EYES MY G,” he wrote in a February 2 social media post.
It’s not just opinion-based. Brown also has the numbers to back his claim. His 2025 “Breezy Bowl XX” stadium tour achieved massive financial success. The show grossed $295.5 million from 1.983 million tickets across 49 shows. It became the highest-grossing tour by a solo Black American man in history, with the North American leg generating $247.8 million.
