Will Smith, Chris Rock Interview Rumors Are a Hoax
According to a Tuesday (March 3) report Smith and Rock were set to appear in an interview. With ABC News to settle their beef over the incident at the 2022 Oscar Awards. However, that report is inaccurate according to Complex.
The rumors began to swirl after a post from parody account HoopCrave on X, formerly known as Twitter, began to go viral on social media, stating that the two stars were set to bury the hatchet. However, a community note debunked that theory. As there has been no such confirmation from ABC News about an upcoming interview with the two entertainers. And the post has since been deleted.
At the 2022 Oscar Awards, Smith infiltrated the stage. To slap Rock after he made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. It ended up being one of the most viral moments in social media history.
In the aftermath, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences banned Will Smith from attending the Oscars. And all other Academy events, in-person or virtually, for 10 years, effective April 8, 2022
