Miami Heat power forward Bam Adebayo had a historic outing when his team took on the Washington Wizards on Wednesday Night. The All-Star forward had a remarkable 83 points, passing Kobe Bryant for the second-most points scored in a single game all-time. A record that stood for more than 20 years.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. Questions Legitimacy of Bam’s Performance

But even after a historic outing, many people have been critical of Bam’s performance. As the All-Star big man neared history in the fourth quarter, the Heat began fouling the Wizards intentionally to give him more opportunities to score without running more time off the clock. Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., was one of the people who took exception to Bam’s performance. Particularly because he attempted an NBA record 43 free throws.

“Bruh, how does someone with the basketball IQ and build of LeBron James, the person who has scored more points than anyone in the HISTORY of the game, just forget how to draw a foul the same way he’s done his whole career?” he asked on social media Wednesday night. “But a group of refs decides to send Bam to the line more than anyone’s ever been. Randomly. On a Tuesday. A call was made, dawg. And now… who knows what’s genuine in the league?

However, many people in the comments section of the social media post were quick to argue against the conspiracy theory allegations made by the Straight Outta Compton star.

“You really think the NBA chose Bam of all people? C’mon,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“A call was made” for Bam Adebayo to pass Kobe’s 81-point night? Say it to yourself out loud so that you can see how stupid it sounds,” a second user chimed in.

“Washington triple-teamed him and chose to foul. Blame their coach for trying nothing and being all out of ideas,” a third user remarked.
