Usher and Justin Bieber’s reported altercation at an Oscar Awards afterparty has been a major topic of discussion since the awards show earlier this month. However, the U Got It Bad singer insists that the entire situation was blown out of proportion.
Usher Alleges TMZ Report on Bieber Altercation Was Exaggerated
A March 19 report from TMZ painted Usher as the antagonist. Stating that the Daddy’s Home creator apparently approached Bieber with “energy and anger,” and the two singers got into a “heated exchange.”
However, during a recent episode of the Ricky Smiley Morning Show, Da Brat says she recently spoke to Usher. And she told the morning show that the report was exaggerated.
“I spoke to Usher, and he said, ‘This is an exaggeration of the conversation,’” Da Brat said.
TMZ also noted that a source close to the situation told them that Justin has been on a path to “erase his past.” And that appeared to include Usher.
But despite their differences, Da Brat says that Usher has always been “supportive” when it comes to Justin.
“He’s been nothing but supportive of plenty of issues that Justin Bieber has had throughout the years,” Da Brat added. “Justin is on his own journey, dealing with his own reality that he’s created. Usher wishes him nothing but the best, and they have no hostility towards each other.”
Da Brat also added that the two R&B stars “definitely love each other” and that their confrontation was taken “out of context.” At the time of writing, Bieber’s has not responded to the comments made by Da Brat.
