The Wu-Tang Clan are facing criticism after coming out to their farewell tour in Australia without a complete lineup.

What Are Fans Saying About The Tour?

Wu-Tang Clan fans got a shock during the Clan’s first stop in Australia when they performed without some key members.

The legendary group advertised their farewell tour as seeing the complete lineup for the last time. But in Brisbane, Australia, important members such as Method Man, Raekwon, Cappadonna and Young Dirty Bastard did not make the trip.

The news came after the Clan posted show photos on Instagram, leading to comments expressing displeasure with the experience.

“Yeah run it back just not with the proper lineup advertised in Aus.” said one user. “Can I get a refund on flights and accommodation too?,” said another user.

Other users seemed more disappointed than upset.

“The worst part was when RZA apologized at the end and proceeded to explain that ‘it’s 23 hours to get to Australia’ so that’s why some didn’t come,” said one user. “Bitterly disappointed with lack of effort made by the clan members that didn’t appear,” said another user. “Feeling ripped off based on the way the show was advertised and the nonexistent valid reason for the no-show.”

How Could This Affect The Tour?

Rolling Stone reported that the Clan announced that Method Man would be absent from the Australian Tour. However, they did not give a reason why he was missing and did not mention Raekwon, Cappadonna or Young Dirty Bastard.

On a post that featured Young Dirty Bastard campaigning for the group’s induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, several users expressed their anguish.

“Let down for Australia can’t lie,” said one user. “Love Wu but when nearly half the clan was missing at the Aus shows where was the love then?” “So disappointed about not showing up to Australia, we were all so excited and now I’m deciding whether to even show up,” said another user. “Not cool man.”

The Clan announced that non of the missing members will be joining them for the rest of the Australia tour. They’ll next head to Japan, where it is unclear if the missing members will make it. A flight to Japan from New York is about 13.5 to 15 hours, 8 hours less than a flight to Australia.
