On Saturday (April 4), WWE released an updated photo for their upcoming Wrestlemania event. And a lot of fans were not happy.
The photo featured photos of NFL Legend Tom Brady, streaming star Speed, country music star Jelly Roll, sports analyst Pat McAfee, rapper Lil Yachty, and WWE head of Creative, Triple H.
i understand yall upset but don’t try and step on my fucking moment, i’m at the tv screen every monday and friday religiously. i’ve been to more ple’s than most. i probably know more history than most of yall. who’s to say i don’t deserve to be apart of something i love so… https://t.co/dlzwUOlirX

Many fans were dismayed about the poster. Noting that the spotlight was put on influences as opposed to the actual WWE Superstars. And questioned if the men in the poster were even fans of the sport. In response to the backlash, Yachty took to social media. And slammed critics for attempting to ruin his moment.
Yachty Hits Back at Backlash Over WWE Involvement
“I understand y’all are upset. But don’t try to step on my f*****g moment,” he wrote on social media on Sunday. “I’m at the TV screen every Monday and Friday religiously. I’ve been to more ple’s than most. I probably know more history than most of y’all. Who’s to say I don’t deserve to be a part of something I love so dearly?”
However, Yachty’s comments only made fans double down on their backlash.
“Brother thinks he deserves this more than guys like Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov. Get this tool outta here,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Yeah, because we want to see another celebrity for a 1 time appearance. Vs a roster full of actual wrestlers, thanks lil yachty,” a second user chimed in.
“WWE as a product right now is awful. Nobody cares to see you of jelly roll or whatever other musician they’re bringing,” another user added.
It’s easy to see why fans would want the spotlight to be on actual wrestlers. Especially after last year’s debacle with Travis Scott. Scott was involved in WWE’s premium live event, Elimination Chamber in 2025. And Travis was featured in the closing segment where John Cena and the Rock assaulted WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
However, that was the last time Scott was ever seen in the feud. After reports said that things went sour between Travis and WWE. This really put a damper on one of the major storylines in Cena’s retirement tour.
