Afroman is doubling down after his civil lawsuit win over Ohio law enforcement, who sued him for defamation after he trolled them in music videos following a 2022 raid on his home.
In a new sit-down with Channel 5 With Andrew Callaghan, the “Because I Got High” rapper says the case became a bigger fight over free speech than anything else.
“Freedom of speech has been challenged,” he said, arguing that his legal win proves “freedom of speech won.”
Afroman also defended his viral videos, saying he wasn’t lying about officers involved in the Adams County Sheriff’s raid, which stemmed from allegations of kidnapping and drug trafficking. During the 2022 raid, officers allegedly broke into his home, pointed guns, and seized thousands in cash.
“They was trying to intimidate and bully me,” he said, adding that he simply “bullied them back.”
The lawsuit stemmed from officers claiming his public posts damaged their reputations after the incident.
