Offset is back home and recovering after being shot outside of a Hollywood, Florida casino earlier this month. He avoided major injury after being shot, but that is not the only thing that he avoided.
Offset Had Active Warrant Recalled Weeks Before Shooting
According to a Monday (April 13) report from TMZ, the former Migos member recently had an active warrant. But authorities shelved the warrant just weeks before the shooting incident.
According to the outlet, the warrant had been issued earlier this year. Because Offset failed to appear at an arraignment related to a battery charge. The bond was set at $20,000; however, Offset showed up in court “weeks later” with a lawyer and pleaded not guilty to the battery charge.
Offset was involved in an altercation with rap star Lil Tjay on Monday night (April 6). Police say they have video footage of Tjay directing a group of his associates to blitz Offset. They also say that during the melee, one of the members of Lil Tjay’s crew pulled out a gun and shot Offset, leaving him hospitalized.
Offset is expected to make a full recovery from the incident. He even hit the stage for a performance over the weekend. His mother, Latabia Woodard, says his surviving the shooting is nothing short of a “miracle.”
“Six days ago, my son was shot. Four days later, he was released from the hospital. Last night, he was on a stage doing what he loves to do. He is a miracle walking,” Latabia added. “That is God’s grace, that is God’s mercy,” she says in the video. In a video clip caught by Zamnzapitalism on X,
At the time of writing, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
