Fans on social media have mixed reactions to the news.
“We need him to tour the states,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“More like he booked himself cuz no one will book him lmao,” a second user chimed in.
“These shows were booked long before the cancellations,” a third user suggested.
Ye was set to headline Wireless Festival in the United Kingdom this July. However, the U.K. Government blocked West from entering the country. Instead of simply replacing Ye as the headline, Wireless Festival opted to cancel the show altogether.
Following his being banned from obtaining a UK Visa, the French Government began to explore blocking him from entering the country for an upcoming show in Marseille. But instead of waiting for them to drop the hammer, he just postponed the show until a later date.
Ye Sends Message to Fans Following Show Cancellations
After postponing his most recent show, West took to social media on Tuesday night (April 14) to send a message to his fans. And noted that he takes “full responsibility” for his past actions and is willing to do whatever it takes to make it right. But he also doesn’t want to make his fans a casualty.
“I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends,” the rapper wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I take full responsibility for what’s mine, but I don’t want to put my fans in the middle of it. My fans are everything to me. Looking forward to the next shows. See you at the top of the globe.”
