However, fans were not thrilled with the list of artists who will be featured on the new project. With many people suggesting the feature artist didn’t fit the theme of an R&B album.
“Chris Brown’s new album has features from NBA YoungBoy to Vybz Kartel. That is a wide net,” one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“A classic R&B album with yb and red? I don’t think so. finna be the same as usual,” a second user chimed in.
“Sexyy Red? NBA Youngboy? Glorilla? On an R&B album that’s meant to be his thriller? It’s so over this will be breezy 2.0,” a third user added.
Chris Brown has already released the first single off the upcoming project, Fallin’, last Friday (May 1). Which featured rising R&B artist Leon Thomas. After the two previously collaborated on the remix of Thomas’ 2025 smash hit, Mutt.
Still, fans don’t appear to be very optimistic about his new project.
Brown’s last album, 11:11, debuted in the number 9 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 after moving 45,000 units in its first week in November 2023. It will be interesting to see if his upcoming project can replicate that performance on the charts.
