According to TMZ Travis Scott’s former management company LCAR Management is suing Travis Scott, believing that he owes them $2 million. Travis signed a three year contract with LCAR Management back in 2014. Scott’s signed contract agreed to give LCAR 15% of all of Scott’s earnings for that three yea term. As of May 2017 LCAR Management claims that they have only received $37,000 from Scott.
Veteran record executive Lyor Cohen is the founder of LCAR Management. Cohen is currently the Global Head of Music at YouTube. Sources close to Travis Scott say that Scott signed the deal in good faith and believed that he held up his end of the contract. Scott says he left for better management because he felt that LCAR wasn’t lifting a finger on his career. A rep close to Scott also stated that Scott felt that he was managing his own career. LCAR says it has a signed deal which Travis needs to honor.
