Latto may have become a mother this week, or at least, will be soon. According to an Instagram reel she posted, clues have surfaced that big Latto will soon become big mama.
What Did Latto’s Video Show?
Latto posted a video on Instagram that went through several stages of her preparation to become a mother. The video begins reportedly five weeks ago in Tokyo, Japan, where Latto reflects on her child coming soon.
“It doesn’t feel real,” she says through tears.
The video then cuts to an ultrasound, followed by home movies of her as a toddler. After that, she shows footage from her baby shower, attended by the alleged father 21 Savage, best friend and rapper Sexyy Red, other close friend GloRilla, and more friends and family.
She splits footage from studio sessions through the video as well, while reflecting on worrying about making the album sober and being tired, concerns she says did not phase her during the process.
Near the end of the video, she updates fans that it’s almost time for her to go into labor, and tearfully expresses how ready she is to meet her baby.
“I’m never gonna leave when my baby get here,” Latto says. “I’m gonna need a million dollars a show, cause I don’t wanna leave the house.”
Then, the smoking gun happens. The video fades out, promoting the release date of her upcoming album, Big Mama. However, if you listen to the video, you can hear Latto being told to “go go go go go,” the sounds of monitors, and several people in the room.
So far, Latto has not posted her baby, nor fully confirmed she’s given birth, but the video at least suggests she’s in labor. Complex has also reported on this story.
How Did Fans React To The Video?
Fans were quick to deduce that the video likely meant Latto has finally become a mother.
“CONGRATULATIONS BIG MAMA,” one user posted.
“you hear it at the end of the video she’s in labor,” another user posted.
“The Labor at the end!,” another user posted.
Celebrities also came out in droves to congratulate her.
“Love,” Lala Anthony posted with several heart emojis.
“Big Mama, so happy for you mamas,” Scotlyn Dryan posted.
“So proud of you big mama! album bout to go PLATINUM!!,” Angel Reese posted. “Auntie League baby is hereeeee.”
Fans also quickly defended the alleged father 21 Savage, saying it’s clear that while they’ve kept things out of the public eye, that he’s going to be involved in the child’s life.
Latto has confirmed as much in interviews saying she’s been with her man for years and that the privacy of their relationship is a “career decision,” both of them have made.
Her final album, Big Mama, drops May 29th.
