Lil Wayne is known for getting the price he asks for, and it appears he’s passed that down to his kids. Reportedly, Lil Wayne’s son, Lil Novi, introduced North West to the cold hard world of the music business.
What Did Lil Novi Do?
According to multiple sources, Lil Novi and North West’s collab track “Justswagup.” Reportedly, Novi did it because he believes Wayne is bigger than North’s father Kanye West. After negotiations, Kanye West was allegedly able to get the price down to $220K, paying the price because he believes in his daughter. The song, produced by North, dropped with fellow young rapper Mag!c in 2025.
The information came to light as North and Novi debut their new collab track “MULA THA ROOT OF ALL EVIL,” causing fans to debate how much Novi charged. It’s been reported that Novi charges most people $300K for a feature, and doesn’t write songs. Instead, he goes in the studio and freestyles.
You can listen to the song below and debate whether it’s worth the price tag.
How Did Fans React To The Feature Price?
Unsurprisingly, fans made nepo baby jokes and balked at the exorbitant price tags floating around.
