Over the weekend, multiple reports surfaced that Atlanta rapper Alley Boy, known as a staple in the early 00s underground scene, had died after a long battle with kidney failure. However, his daughter is saying that he’s still alive.
Alley Boy Is Still With Us, Maybe
After most media outlets reported the co-founder of Duct Tape Entertainment had passed on, it appears someone is contesting that news: his daughter.
On Instagram, she set the record straight.
“My daddy is NOT dead,” she wrote in an Instagram post at 11:33 a.m. “Please stop spreading false information and posting things before you know the truth. i appreciate everyone who’s reached out and checked on me i don’t have the strength to respond to everyone but im so thankful !! I LOVE YALL. please keep me & my family in your prayers ‘ we really need it !! GOD HAS THE LAST SAY SO.”
As of this writing, there’s been no update on Alley Boy’s condition. Some users on social media claim you can find his death certificate online, but we weren’t able to corroborate that information.
We at According2HipHop extend our best wishes to him and his family.

Alley Boy, The Life Of A Trendsetter
Alley Boy became a prominent figure in Atlanta’s street-rap scene in the late 00s/early 2010s through projects such as The Gift of Discernment and collaborations with artists including Master P. He also played an important role in establishing Duct Tape Entertainment as a respected movement within Southern Hip Hop.
In previous interviews, Alley Boy openly discussed his health struggles and undergoing dialysis. He said his kidney failure was connected to years of codeine use and complications from high blood pressure.
By late 2024, he regularly went on dialysis and tried desperately to get a kidney transplant. He regularly warned the youth about not going down the same path he did.
