Lil Wayne Recalls Meeting Teenage LeBron James
During a recent appearance on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Weezy recalled meeting LeBron when he was just 16 years old. And how his uncle, Slim, was the reason that they were able to connect.
“I met LeBron when he was about 16, I believe. So Birdman’s brother Slim, he was always into sports and stuff like knowing kids before they blow up and sh*t. And so I was on tour, and I had a show in Cleveland or Akron somewhere like that,” Wayne explained. “And he was like, Wayne, they got this basketball player out there, you know he want to come to your show, he the sh*t he going to be everything trust me. So I was like, cool, whatever, Slim, you know. Yeah.”

James has since gone on to be one of the more decorated basketball players in NBA history. As the all-time leading scorer and a four-time NBA Champion.
At 41 years old, nobody is sure how much longer LeBron will play. But he does have a major decision on his hands this summer. After becoming an unrestricted free agent this summer, many people believe that the next team that he chooses will ultimately be the team that he ends his career with. With the NBA season inching closer, James is expected to make his decision soon.
