Iconic hip-hop groups No Limit and Cash Money are set to embark on a 17-city North American arena run uniting the famed hip-hop acts.
Ahead of the tour, which is set to kick off in September, No Limit Records Founder Master P appeared on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. And of course, he was grilled about the burning question that is on every potential attendee’s mind. Will Lil Wayne be present for the tour?
Master P Sounds Off on Lil Wayne’s Status For Upcoming Tour
In his response, Master P didn’t give a definitive answer. He stated that he can only control what’s within his control and confirmed that all members of No Limit Records would be in attendance. But as for Lil Wayne, he can’t answer for him.
“You know what? Wayne doin’ his thing. I can’t speak for them. I know my people gon’ be there,” he said as caught by HotNewHipHop. “It’s all about No Limit, but I think that whatever they… I wish a lot of their artists could be there. Don’t know what the situation is. I can only do what’s in my control, shawty. And that’s what I’m gon’ do. But No Limit will be there.”
Birdman and Lil Wayne’s relationship has been under the microscope in previous years. In 2017, he sued Universal along with Birdman’s Cash Money, accusing the two entities of conspiring to withhold his profits.
Fans got a teaser of the upcoming tour when No Limit and Cash Money competed in a Verzuz this past October. And Wayne was not present for that event either.
Do you think that Weezy will appear on the upcoming tour?
