Dame Dash has steadily been making headlines recently. Now, it appears he has some alleged debts to his own family.
Who Does Dame Dash Owe?
During the show Next Gen NYC, Dash and his daughter, Ava, had a lighthearted exchange where he asked if she had received the money he sent. She replied no, and then told production that she loans her dad thousands of dollars sometimes. Now, Ava said her father pays it right back, but she also said he currently owes her money.
Dash has dealt with many legal disputes involving tax charges, child support, and various unpaid bills and judgments. Several of his businesses have ended up in court, for tax issues, withholding payments, and other offenses.
According2HipHop fans sounded off on the issue.
“I couldn’t imagine what it would take to expose my father. But I can tell you, it would take more than a microphone, and a dry interview….,” Trey Copelin posted.
“Sacrifices and things you’ve done for your parents are never suppose to be spoken on. She’s definitely Dame’s daughter,” Damian Shaw posted.
“Yall laughing but Coi Leraywent through this too,” LaCresha Huffman-Thomas posted.
For what it’s worth, Dame Dash seemed fine with the comments, celebrating seeing his daughter get on TV and grab the headlines.

What Else Is Going On With The CEO?
Culture journalist Andre Gee caused a stir with his newsletter as he broke down the state of Dame Dash, leading to some revelations from an award-winning documentarian.
In his newsletter, Gee highlights these incidents and his growing sadness over the state of Dash, and his insistence to continue to bash his former friend JAY-Z, making a point about Dash’s clear masking and posturing over the painful fallout. The story resonated with many, especially those who’ve been around Dash. One of such, award-winning director Adam Bhala Lough, known for the Lil Wayne documentary The Carter, reacted to Gee’s post, revealing new information about Dash.
“True story: Dame asked me to direct the official Roc-A-Fella documentary,” he wrote. “He’s sitting on 100s of hours of incredible footage from that era. I said I’d only do it if I got Jay-Z’s side of the story too. Dame refused. I declined. I’d still be open to it if he ever changes his mind.”
A documentary is still possible, though it seems it would try to cut JAY-Z completely out of the picture, which would omit too much of the story to be credible. Dash has not commented on the story as of this writing.
