TeeJayx6, known for starting a popular movement called scam rapping that’s had major influence on the new school, is facing some serious charges.
According to a report by New Media Detroit, he’s being held in the Oakland County Jail. He’s facing multiple charges including unregistered weapons, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, gang activities, and worst of all animal torture.
He reportedly has separate bonds for each charge, across different counties in Detroit. In total, it’ll cost $47,570 to clear all bonds, although some have a 10% cash clause or allow surety.
The Detroit native is one of the pioneers of “scam rap,” a style of rap centered around lyrics about online fraud, identity theft, credit card scams, online impersonation, and other financial schemes.
His 2019 song “Dark Web” helped bring him wider attention, while tracks such as “Swipe Story” added to his reputation for detailed how tos on scamming.
He’s released several projects over the years and grew a cult following during the boom of SoundCloud rap.

Fans weren’t shocked at the result.
“They hit this n**** with every charge possible something gonna land,” one user posted.
“Torturing animals? That’s the one that crosses every line. Hope justice does its job,” another user posted.
“So nothing on bank fraud and identity theft or any crypto scam, jst crashing on bs u neva rap about,” another user posted.
If convicted, the charges could add up to over 25 years in prison.
