Young Thug has drawn plenty of controversy in his career. However, his latest one is getting several interpretations.
While visiting an Atlanta middle school, Thugga has a message for the youth.
“Fame is really the most important,” Young Thug said. “If you famous, you are almost as important as the richest person in the world. So, fame is more so like the money for us. It’s very important. You have to keep up with it. You have to make sure it leads you to the right rooms. It makes you move totally different. You have to move militant. There’s so many things people don’t know about fame it’s like, very important to know how to move and how to beat them, cuz you gonna end up in situations.
With the growing economic divide, crumbling job market, destruction of the traditional college educated path to wealth and sustainability, along with the grim fact that Black youth’s odds of success dwindle as school districts implement AI curriculums and cut funding by Millions, it’s not surprising to see Thug say this. Considering his upbringing, his mentality of “making it out” is what saved him.

Social Media Reacts To Young Thug
However, people on the outside of that life simply heard “get famous” and “move militant” and instantly pushed back at Thug’s ways of communication. While some people completely understood his position.
“He not lying, we in an influencer\attention economy. Fame the new currency,” one user posted.
“He’s been compromised. He’s a double agent sent by the government to destroy the lives of our youth,” another user posted.
“Glorifying fame and a militant mindset to students is terrible advice,” another user posted.
“AI is taking our jobs but with fame you can sell anything or influence most people so he might not be wrong,” another user posted.
