Former Drill rapper Fivio Foreign is shooting for the lord now.
One of the most popular Brooklyn Drill rappers, Fivio has been teasing a full move into secular music and it looks like he’s sticking with it.
A couple days ago, Fivio tweeted a message to his fans.
“Hmmm.. How you think a Fivio Foreign Gospel Drill song would sound,?” he posted.
Now, he dropped a clip for his latest song that he’s calling Gospel Drill. He’s been teasing this move for months, performing in Times Square for free to promote the shift.
Last month he posted about the move in more detail.
“When I was taking drill to the next level and change’n the whole ascetic of Drill rap and new generation they told me I wouldn’t work,” Fivio posted. “Now imma show yall how a Gangsta could do a Gosple song. Inna hood and save the trenches. This latest run bout to be biblical.”
You can check out the song below.

Fivio Called Out For Abandoning Pop Smoke
Pop Smoke’s brother Obasi noted that there are people who come out and show love on Pop Smoke Day, as well as people from his home church, the St. Paul Community Baptist church in Brooklyn. But he says that many of the people who have used Pop’s name to gain notoriety have not reached out at all. Namely, Fivio Foreign, whom Obasi says he “ran down” over his lack of support.
“The people that ya’ll would think should be tapping in are not tapping in,” he said. “You know Akademiks already had an interview with Fivio. I’ve already run down on him on the internet.”
“If I die right now and my friends don’t check on my mom or my family ever, that’s an issue. Everybody gotta get money. I would never want to see a black man get no money. But if you’re talking about ‘yo I’m ride or die. We the woos. Five star I got it tatted on me ….’”
