Following his not-guilty verdict, Lil Durk returned to Instagram with a message focused on growth, responsibility and creating a better future.
The Chicago rapper shared a three-minute montage highlighting his community work while encouraging young people not to allow their surroundings to determine the direction of their lives.
“There were times in my life when I felt lost and couldn’t see beyond what was right in front of me,” Durk said. “Growth is real, and it’s never too late to choose a different direction.”
Durk also pledged to continue using his voice and platform to motivate young people and create opportunities for the next generation.
“Choose your future. Choose your family. Choose growth,” he concluded. “We’re moving forward with purpose.”
