Chicago rapper Lucki is facing a $5.9 million lawsuit from his former manager, Mark Buol, over allegations of breach of contract, unpaid commissions and unreimbursed expenses.
Buol filed the 19-page complaint in New York on Sept. 8, claiming he began managing Lucki in 2021 and played a significant role in advancing the rapper’s career. According to the lawsuit, Buol says he financed Lucki’s tours, provided money toward a settlement involving third-party claims and advanced other funds during their five-year business relationship.
The lawsuit alleges Lucki repeatedly diverted commissions that were owed to Buol and failed to reimburse him for substantial tour advances. Buol also claims he personally covered thousands of dollars in damages to multiple hotel rooms.
Buol alleges the situation caused him significant financial harm and exposed him to risks from creditors. He is seeking $5.9 million in damages, plus interest, and has requested a jury trial.
The allegations remain claims made in a civil lawsuit, and no determination of liability has been made.
