Fans were very intrigued when AZ Chike, known for his standout feature on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, posted a picture of him and Dot working in the studio. However, when he released the tracklist, fans noticed a major absence, Kendrick Lamar.
This led fans to speculate that the two fell out.
While promoting the album, Chike spoke on his relationship with Kendrick, making it clear they’re all good.
“That’s my boy. That’s all I’mma say. That’s my boy, man. I love that dude. I ain’t going to lie.
Chike then spoke on if he’d do a future feature with Kendrick.
“I was really just keeping my fingers crossed, bro. And they still crossed. I don’t know what could happen. Them dudes are so spontaneous. “Them n****s is strict with the music. Rightfully so.”
Then, he detailed exactly how the picture happened.
“I sent the album to Dot and the song is called God’s Favorite. He like, ‘God’s Favorite in the back? It’s ratchet, like ignorant. Nah, we got to change that.’ That n**** pushed that s*** up to track three. But he know what he doing. He like, ‘They going to want this from you for sure.'” “I swear in his words, he said, ‘N****, you know how many ‘Money Trees’ and ‘Cartoons and Cereals’ I had to take off my album?’ And after that, he had me beat. I ain’t had nothing else to say.”
You can listen to Chike’s album No Rest For The Wicked on all platforms.
