Dapper Dan’s style of fashion became a staple in Hip-Hop in the 80’s and early 90’s. We all know how influential Hip-Hop is to all ways of life so it comes to no surprise that at Gucci’s Cruise 2018 Fashion Show in Florence, Italy we saw a striking Dapper Dan influence on the runway.
Thanks to social media Gucci was quickly called out and drug across Twitter being accused of appropriating Black culture. Gucci quickly responded by saying that they were paying homage to the Harlem legend Dapper Dan.
