Jay Z’s 4:44 album has been welcomed with a warm reception ever since it’s release in late June of this year. Naturally the next thing to do is tour. Especially since Jay has inked the massive 10 year touring deal with Live Nation.
Apparently for some reason the ticket sales for the 4:44 Tour aren’t meeting up to expectations. Friday night’s show in Phoenix had seats available through Ticketmasters in just about every section of the arena for face value. Also Sunday’s show in Denver has floor seats going for as low as $69 through the official ticketing agency for the show.
It’s not clear if these changing numbers are a reflection of timing or just the times in general. Does Jay Z just not cater to a demographic that goes to see live Hip-Hop music anymore? It will be interesting to see if we see any changes in this trend. Especially with the large Live Nation deal in place.
