One of Hip-Hop’s legends has officially announced his retirement from the rap game. Scarface has been one of Hip-Hop’s most consistent artist for nearly 30 years. Not to mention he is one of the emcees that is credited with putting Southern Hip-Hop on the map.
Scarface has proven over the years that he is one of the best storytellers in the history of the genre. And through collaborations with 2Pac, Jay Z, Nas, Ice Cube, Beanie Sigel and more it is clear face is elite. In a Facebook post on his personal Brad Jordan Face said;
“I want to thank everybody for the support over the past 30 years but this will be my last album
I’m moving on to another stage
Imagine an old ass man still trying to rap
deeply rooted and deeply rooted lost files are available every where it’s 100% owned by me (independent) I will drop 88 winters in the fall and I’ll be moving on….”
As sad of a day this is we can rejoice in knowing that we will get one last Scarface album and with his consistency we know it will be special.
